About VA

Once upon a time…

I have always had an eye for composition and beauty. I bring my passion for and schooling in photography to my web sites and design work. My life and work are filled with adventure and beauty – as well as a sharp eye towards detail, functionality and purpose.

Jason Nelson at the Ouray Ice ParkPrior to starting Visual Adventures, I worked with national brands like Disney, Mack Trucks, and i2. In addition to having the chance to tap the minds of some of the finest designers in the business, they consistently gave me new ideas and kept me inspired. Realizing that my passion was for the hand-in-hand coupling of design and functionality, Visual Adventures was born when I sought to develop the next level of my career.

My wife, Lisa, is also an integral part of my business.  While she brings numerous talents to the company, she excels in marketing and consistently amazes me with her fervor! She spent over 8 years developing a successful catering/personal chef business and prior to that, over 10 years with a major telecommunications company working in both engineering and marketing.

Lisa adds a fresh perspective to my work and it’s great to have someone – especially my wife – with whom I can collaborate on a regular basis!

Referrals? I’m happy to say that you can feel free to contact any of my clients in my portfolio. My clients are not only satisfied customers, but our largest source of new business. Honestly, it’s the best complement we could receive – we hope to do the same for you and your project.

Check out the “creating a web site” page to understand the process of building a web site and other FAQ’s. I look forward to speaking with you about your project, and you can look forward to an open line of communication with your design team (me!).

Quotes

“I just saw the poster you’ve created for the upcoming school meeting.

WOW! As I told my friend, I’m going to want one for myself so I can frame it and hang it in my home. Perhaps you’ll be interested in offering a graphic design course for students in the future?”
