Jason did a guest blogger appearance at redheadwriting.com this week. Read his article titled “The Power of CSS” and find out what CSS can do for you. It’s written so a designer or average Joe will understand. Erika has many other interesting and informative articles on the redheadwriting.com site.
Here’s the link one more time for you!

Visual Adventures just received the Coolhomepages.com Design Award for the visualadventures.com website. We are very proud of this award and to be featured amongst so many other great designers. The Coolhomepages.com website is a great resource for inspiration and ideas for design.
Now why have we not won more awards? Like the lottery, you need to play to win. We haven’t taken the time to apply for such rewards in the past. It’s also hard to put yourself out there as an artist even if you are proud of your work. Guess we’ll have to expand on this awards list in the future!
You’ll notice the Coolhomepages.com logo on the footer of the website.

There are lot’s of great plug-ins that go along with WordPress enabling you to do lots of cool tricks.  The Visual Adventures web site has recently been integrated into WordPress along with some of these other sites that we’ve built lately.

Lisa and I just returned from the Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City, UT. We made some good work contacts and will have some very visually interesting work coming down the pipeline. We are looking forward to working with artist Jeremy Collins whose work we have admired over the years in climbing magazines.

Visual Adventures recently completed a site re-design for the Ridgway Real Estate Company. The link is at http://www.ridgwayco.com. Visual Adventures teamed up with Craig at ImageAid to create a data base to manage properties and brokers. The site design was based on some print ads the company was running.

I working on a new site design. I’ll still be keeping the melting glacier theme, but the text boxes have been bugging me for sometime so I’m getting rid of them. I’ll also be adding some funky graphics here and there to break the monotony. Look for it in the next couple of weeks!

Check out these two new websites. Gumdrops for Kids is a high end kids clothing store here in Ouray. The site was built utilizing Yahoo’s ecommerce system.
The Mortgage Store is a lender based in Telluride that we recently finished a web site for. The contact page features a google map embeded in the page and a bubble caption showing the location of the business.
