When will people realize that it is journalists who write the stories and that you have no control over the headlines or content? Innocent until proven guilty. Well-done response, Jason! You have earned the respect of any climber and I sure hope that the negative comments stop now. I am way overdue to climb with you. I miss it (and you, of course!)

Postscript: Jason did your mother ever tell you to go play in the street like mine did?

As long as you are the first to jump off the curb, nothin' else matters.

Well articulated blog post Ouray Drytooling Day 2. It goes without saying what an actively exfoliating chunked out 'Hall' is in the basic realm of geology in the area Jason has chosen to apply 'FUN' in. Lest we forget who we are in relation to geologic time. We are visitors. How close we access the rock envelopes of time, is a gift and a choice for those mentioned here. I see it as licking the armour on the dragons belly. Feast upon every shard, share with thy DT mates.

Screw the fire breathers. We snort ice in Ouray.

Well, for one Will Gadd is a personal friend of mine. We talk about climbing, hunting, raising kids, all kinds of things. We never talked about limited potential in climbing styles. Sounds like a discussion the two of you should have.

If you think know one who posts here is as GREAT as you are, then read Will Gadd's most recent article in Gripped about his evolution in ice climbing over his 30 year career.

He specifically talks about this type of climbing and how limited its potential is. If you think this would stand the scrutiny of someone of his calibre, why not head over to his site and start spraying about how much of a hard man you are.

The idea that anyone could call dry-tooling aid climbing really does just demonstrate that the commenter has no experience with either medium. Unbelievable. I have never added my voice to an internet spray-off before but this one is ridiculous. Really.
