Photography featured in Lowe Alpine Calendar
Lowe Alpine, renown maker of excellent backpacks, has included a photograph by Jason Nelson in their 2011 Calendar. The photo is on the September page and features Jack Jefferies approaching the Diamond, a big cliff near the summit of Longs Peak in Colorado. Jason and Jack were successful in climbing two routes on the Diamond that trip. Unfortunately, the trip was overshadowed by witnessing a fatality while climbing. Another climber fell 800 feet while climbing unroped. The picture on this page is of Jason high on the Diamond, but is not the pic featured in the Calendar.
These top two pictures are absolutely amazing. The second one because I love to rock climb, but the first one with the sunflowers has incredibly great quality that makes it stunning and shocking to look at.
