Foster Falls, Tennessee and The Arkansas Ozarks

Foster Falls is a nice little climbing area near Chattanooga, TN, and is also the closest place to Nashville for quality climbing.  The rainy and dreary day made for lousy climbing conditions, but it was good for photography.  The day long twilight made for slow exposures and great blurred water!

On our second trip there we talked to a ranger that worked there.  Sounds like people do jump the waterfall, but it is not allowed.

I was impressed by the beauty and amount of wilderness the Ozarks seemed to have.  I didn’t have big expectations considering it was near the center of the country.  It’s always nice to be pleasantly surprised!  We were camping somewhere that required getting up early and leaving, which coincidentally had us passing this swamp just as the sun was cresting the hill.
