Bozeman Ice Festival 2013
We had a lovely time at the Bozeman Ice Festival this year. Being free of clinic teaching responsibilities made our schedule a little lighter, but the weekend still seemed to go by in a blur. We had a wonderful product development meeting with Outdoor Research and look forward to seeing some of the new items we brainstormed up in the years to come.
The comp was once again a success. This year, it was a UIAA sanctioned North American Championship. That means, that next year, Bozeman will have a full fledged World Cup event. With competitors from all over the world this year (Japan, Germany, Italy, France, Canada, Slovenia and Utah), the competition was tough. Jason slipped early in the preliminary rounds for the difficulty competition, but held his ground the following day in the Speed Comp, placing forth.
As always, it was great to see many of our friends that we only encounter at these events. Of course, always great to meet many new people as well. It’s the people that makes these things special!
